April 16, 2013

It is no secret that Las Vegas offers enjoyment for almost everyone. There are shows and fine dining for adults, attractions for the whole family, and attractions designed to reach out to people with particular interests and hobbies. For avid golfers, nothing is more fun and exhilarating than playing on some of the beautifully designed Las Vegas golf courses.

There are four attractive golf courses for local and vacationing golfers. Located Southeast of Las Vegas in the suburb of Henderson, Nevada is the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club. This golf course is the oldest in the Las Vegas area, opening over half a century ago in 1957. Black Mountain Golf and Country Club allow reservations to be made up to 60 days in advance with rates varying in price from $55 to $95 dollars depending on the booking season. The course is a beautiful USGA Public Links qualifying site. In 2002, Desert nine opened and gives golfers a wonderful desert golf experience

Aliante Golf Club is the newest course opened in 2003. Located in North Las Vegas, Aliante Golf Club ranges in rate from $30 to $130 depending on booking season with reservations accepted up to 120 days in advance. Aliante Golf Club is a gorgeous course with a view of mountain peaks behind the blue water and green grasses of the golf course. Even the flora adds to the course’s beauty with pear, locust, and pine trees.

Also located in Las Vegas is Angel Park Golf Club. Again, the course has the spectacular panoramic view of mountains and desert in the distance. Designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1990, Angel Park Golf Course can be reserved up to 120 days in advance with rates ranging from $65 to $160. Angel Park Golf Club offers two courses, a short course, and a putting course.

The Silverstone Golf Club is the fourth golf destination in Las Vegas. The club opened in 2001 and like the other golf clubs surrounding Las Vegas, rates vary depending on the season. All the courses require proper attire but Silverstone Golf Club offers three nines designed by Robert Cupp, the first to be named “Golf Course Architect of the Year.”
