Family Fun in Las Vegas
May 14, 2013
Las Vegas is a great place for vacationers of all ages and an excellent destination for families. Some people might think that Las Vegas is mainly for bachelor parties, conferences, and gamblers, but there is really a lot to do for everyone, including couples, parents, and children. Consider Las Vegas for your next family vacation.
There are many fun activities for families to try out in Las Vegas. For example, kids can spend a day learning and having fun at the aquarium, which offers fun for all ages. For kids who like a little more adventure, try out some of Las Vegas’s amusement park-type rides and adventures. Many hotels have great pools, kids’ activities, and kid-friendly restaurants. Big hotels can be a great option for families who might want to spread out a bit. Older, more independent kids can go to kids’ activities while their parents catch a show or relax in the hotel spa. Many hotels also offer in-room or poolside babysitting service. Las Vegas also offers some great educational activities. Check out the various museums where kids can learn about nature, history, and culture while on vacation.
Las Vegas also has some great entertainment options for families. Las Vegas shows for families include dance shows, circus shows, magicians, and comedy shows. Keep in mind that some shows in Las Vegas are definitely geared toward an adult audience though. If you’re not sure whether the show’s content would be appropriate for your children or other family members, just call the casino, theater, or hotel that is hosting the show. Ticket agents will be happy to describe any potentially scary, grown-up, or overwhelming parts of the show and explain the age groups for which the show is most appropriate. Great bets for families include Cirque du Soleil, magic shows, and many musicals.
