Gambling Back Up By 1.8% in Las Vegas
December 10, 2012
2012 has been a tough financial year for Las Vegas, a city whose industries are largely built around tourism and gambling. However, a recent report in the Las Vegas Sun shares some good news. According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, gaming revenues in the state increased by 1.8% during the month of October. That’s $978+ million for the month, a figure that’s up 3.6% from October 2011.
This is good news for Las Vegas tourists. More revenue for the state and local businesses translates into more savings for you, the consumer. If you’re considering a trip to Las Vegas, there’s no better time to go than now, while the money is rolling and the tables are exciting!
