How to Plan a Romantic Valentine’s Trip to Las Vegas
February 11, 2013
Valentine’s Day, February 14, will be here before you know it. Instead of buying the standard dozen roses and a box of chocolates, why not do something that will really surprise her? There’s no place in the world like Las Vegas, and the city really comes to life when love is in the air. Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas is an experience that both of you will remember for many years to come. Here are a few suggestions on planning the perfect Las Vegas Valentine’s getaway…
- Make restaurant reservations early. Restaurants all over the United States book up for the evening of February 14th in no time. Go ahead and make your reservations at a restaurant that’s actually your top pick (not the leftovers!). She’ll know if you didn’t!
- Next, go ahead and book your accommodations. The hotels are well aware that it’s Valentine’s Day, so don’t expect any phenomenal deals. There might be some gimmicks (free champagne, roses, etc.), but serious discounts aren’t going to happen for this time of the year. If you’ve never visited Las Vegas before, get a place on The Strip (if your budget allows for it). You’ll never forget the fabulous lights and atmosphere.
- Speak with the concierge in advance about making your room extra special. Send a bottle of your favorite wine or champagne to the hotel ahead of time so that they can have it in the room when you arrive.
- While Las Vegas is great for wandering, you should have some kind of basic itinerary. Pick up discount show tickets for a musical, comedy act, or other show you know that you and your partner will both enjoy.
