Las Vegas Attractions for Kids
April 16, 2013
Most people visualize Las Vegas as a city of fun and entertainment for adults. For the most part, this is tried and true. The staple of Las Vegas entertainment is gambling, drinking, dining, and attending a number shows limited to individuals 18 years or older. With so many limited entertainment venues it is no wonder Sin City is viewed as a city for adult entertainment only.
If you’re planning a trip for Las Vegas and are bringing the kids with you never fear, there are plenty of attractions that are family friendly and designed to entertain kids. One fabulous attraction the whole family will love is the Sunset Stampede. This show is designed to entertain all age groups with laser, light, water, and music. The theme of the show celebrates the spirit of the pioneers. Have children fascinated by the world of aquatics? Visit Atlantis Aquarium located in the Forum Shops at Caesars. The giant saltwater tank will entertain children with colorful fish and every hour, your family can enjoy the free “Fall of Atlantis” show.
Sunset Stampede and Atlantis Aquarium are all free shows children will love including the pirate themed show Sirens of TI. Located at Treasure Island, the show tells the story of pirates lured by beautiful sirens. The singing and dancing sirens tempt the brilliantly dressed buccaneers in Siren’s Cove in front of the resort. The dancing and singing is accompanied with colorful pyrotechnics and completed with a sinking ship.
Fortunately, Las Vegas isn’t short on attractions for children. Not all attractions are located in Las Vegas but are well within traveling distance. If your family is into thrill rides look into visiting Adventure Canyon, Adventuredome, or Canyon Blaster. If you love animals, try visiting: The Aquarium at the Silverton, Shark Reef, Zoological-Botanical Park, or Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Or if your family likes museums check out: Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, Nevada State Museum, or Las Vegas Natural History Museum. There are plenty of family friendly attractions in Las Vegas and it is easy to research each before you plan your Las Vegas Trip.
