New Movie to be Filmed in Las Vegas
November 5, 2012
When you think of movies andLas Vegas, probably the first thing that comes to mind is the Oceans Eleven series with George Clooney. That is probably the most recent film that has glorified Las Vegas as one of the greatest places on Earth. Plus, it helps that everyone deep down wishes they could pull of a heist like the one in the movie and run off as millionaires
There have been a decent amount of movies filmed in Las Vegas over the years. Some of the other more memorable ones other than Ocean’s Eleven are The Hangover, What Happens in Vegas, and Rush Hour 2. Mostly the city is known for its entertainment, not making movies. But a director has decided to film a movie full of star power in Las Vegas.
Jon Turteltaub, director of National Treasure, Jericho (TV), Cool Runnings, and other films is shooting a new movie in Las Vegas. It’s called Last Vegas and you might be interested in seeing it once you hear about the cast.
The film is starring Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline, and a few other big names. Talk about an all-star cast! The movie is going to be based on an interesting story as well. So far all that is known in any detail about the plot is that the film will revolve around four best friends who are in their late 60s.
These four friends, in an attempt to get away from their boring retirement decide to head to Las Vegas. They go to throw a bachelor party for the one friend who has never married. This sounds like it could be a good film, especially when you consider the amount of talent that has signed up for the film. It looks like it could also turn out very funny as well. Let’s hope for that because a poorly made movie is a poorly made movie, not even Las Vegas can make it seem better.
