NASCAR comes roaring into Las Vegas for the Shelby American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Sunday, February 28, 2010 to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This racetrack is extra-special because it’s on the Las Vegas strip!

The NASCAR racers will be taking to the track on Sunday, but a weekend’s-worth of festivities is scheduled as well. Here are some of the highlights:

• Thursday: Poker tournament at the Monte Carlo with NASCAR racers; Cooking competition at New York New York Hotel and Casino’s ESPN Zone with rookie Raybestos drivers Terry Cook and Kevin Conway; Tony Stewart appearance at Office Depot; Dale Earnhardt Foundation Poker Tournament at the Stratosphere with NASCAR racers, owners, and officials; Kyle Busch at M&M World; Racer Matt Kenseth at Mandalay Bay

• Friday: Bobby Labonte and and Terry Cook at the Stratosphere; Kurt Busch at Bally’s Hotel and Casino; Kyle Busch at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino; Dale Jarrett at the MGM

• Saturday: Meet and Greet with NASCAR legends Junior Johnson and Ned Jarrett at the Neon Garage; Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman at the Venetian; Robby Gordon at Harrah’s and the Hard Rock Hotel

• Sunday: Race Day!
Show cars will also be on display at various locations throughout the strip and surrounding areas including the Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, Hard Rock, MGM Grand, Harrah’s, and the Stratosphere.
