While there are plenty of stunning women performing in shows all over Las Vegas, it’s a bit harder to find a show that features an entire male cast. Chippendales, The Show, fills a bit of the void as one of the few all-male reviews in town. There are 12 talented Chippendales dancers in this Las Vegas show which is geared towards women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and colors. With their trademark shirt cuffs, bowties, skintight black pants, and bare chests, the Chippendales male dancers have been pleasing mostly female crowds for over 20 years. And for those naysayers who claim there’s no such thing as the perfect body, they need look no further than Chippendales, The Show. While the Chippendales dancers are physical specimens, they don’t just rely on their looks to entertain the raucous and appreciative audience. The dancers each have a distinct personality that shows through on stage. There are moments of comedy and warmth along with moments of sheer sensuality. There’s a master-of-ceremonies who keeps the crowd lively and the show moving along. He’s not only got a great stage presence, but he sings as well. Lest anyone forget, the Chippendales dancers are male strippers. They take their clothes off—mostly just down to their tiny g-strings, but in a few numbers, they take it all off. They don’t give “the full monty” however. Even when they are completely nude, they are covered a bit by artfully placed props so that there’s never any full frontal nudity. Before they go bare, they are clad in lavish and sexy costumes. Cowboys, military men, construction workers—there’s something for every taste and fantasy. For those that are interested, the show is well-choreographed and the dancers really know the moves. It’s obvious that the dancers are hired for a bit more than their looks. All of them can dance well, although some dance better than others. The various dances in the show are well-rehearsed and executed. For audience members that want to interact and participate with the performers, there are seats at the front of the theater that will let them do so. Brides-to-be celebrating their bachelorette party at Chippendales seem to thoroughly appreciate this option. Newly divorced ladies and birthday girls seem to also appreciate the opportunity to be right up front. For ticket holders that want personalized attention, they can request a “shout out” before the show. One of the dancers will be sure to pay extra attention to the lucky “shout out” recipient. For the more shy ticket holders or those that just prefer to take in the sights, the seats further back provide that option. Because this is an equal opportunity Las Vegas show, lap dances are available. Be sure to bring plenty of one and five dollar bills—and maybe even a few twenties. When the show is over, there’s more fun in store for lucky ticket holders. The dancers are available after the show for pictures and a meet and greet.
