Donny and Marie Osmond

3

She's a little bit country, he's a little bit rock and roll, and they both still have legions of fans over thirty years after the debut of their variety show in 1976. Donny and Marie Osmond are still dancing and singing with the undeniable chemistry that made them international superstars as teenagers. Of course their career in showbiz started way before they hit their teens. Donny first played Vegas at the tender age of seven. The two appeared on the Las Vegas stage for the first time in 1973 at Caesars Palace.

Donny and Marie take the stage at the Flamingo Showroom with their high-energy ninety-minute Las Vegas show along with a talented group of dancers and musicians. They've taken the winning concept of the variety show that made them so famous and incorporated it into their Las Vegas show.

Longtime fans of the duo who expect to hear their well-known songs won't be disappointed. Marie sings her country-chart-topping hit "Paper Roses," and Donny sings his teen idol hits, "Go Away Little Girl," and "Puppy Love." Fans of Donny Osmond's career on the Broadway stage will enjoy his rendition of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" as scenes from his appearance in the hit Broadway show are shown on a large screen.

Donny and Marie had several big hits together, including "Make the World Go Away," "Deep Purple," and "I'm Leaving it (All) Up to You," and they cover these favorite songs in their Las Vegas show. And what would Donny and Marie be onstage if they didn't engage in the friendly sibling rivalry and witty banter that they're so famous for?

Donny's still got the stuff that made a generation of teenage girls swoon and faint at the sight of him. He rocks out to his hit "Soldier of Love," and also belts out a medley of Stevie Wonder hits. Together they perform a dance-off to songs from the movie Grease. The dance numbers are high-energy and finely choreographed, and these two manage to keep up just fine with the rest of the dancers, never mind the fact that they were both born in the 1950s and they are both parents to eight kids--Donny even has a granddaughter.

The nostalgic end to their Las Vegas show features a video montage of their lives as they sing the song that they always ended the Donny and Marie Show with, "May Tomorrow be a Perfect Day." Things haven't always been smooth sailing for Donny and Marie, but the montage is a reminder of just how spectacular their careers in show business have been.
