The Palms Hotel and Casino has done it again with yet another epic night spot. Rain offers a Las Vegas nightclub experience like no other. Every single one of the 25,000 square feet of Rain offers a feast for all the senses. Rain is situated over multiple levels, with a different environment on each level. The entrance to rain displays gold-mirrored mosaic with fog, color changing lights, and sound. Upon entering the club you feel like a member of a professional sports team preparing to take the field or a rock start moments before you take the stage in front of 20,000 screaming fans. You know the minute you step into Rain that this is no ordinary nightclub and you are in for a night to remember. Flanking the entrance are elevated seating and stage areas, and a private bar. Beyond this intimate area is a sleek and sexy space that blends red, gold, black, purple, and orange along with mosaic, terrazzo, glass, and bamboo. All the elements--Earth, Air, Fire, and Water--are represented in the perfectly balanced space. The four elements are apparent not only in the design in the club, but in the surprising special effects that appear throughout the club. Special effects include water, fog, and pyrotechnics. A high-tech lighting rig holds a computerized lighting system along with the capacity to create fog, haze, and fireballs. A complaint sometimes heard about nightclubs is that the dance floors are never large enough. Not so at Rain. The huge bamboo dance floor is surrounded by computer-timed water effects that include dancing jets and fountains. A 16-foot, color changing water wall is located next to the stage. VIPs at Rain will find plenty of spots to have a private party. Luxury VIP areas include a cabana level with seven intimate cabanas and a large bar offering Las Vegas strip views. Each cabana can accommodate up to 12 people and features LCDs, lights, and luxurious furnishings. Above the cabana level, six VIP sky boxes are the ultimate in VIP entertainment. VIPs can watch the action below from the private balconies attached to the skyboxes. These boxes accommodate 15 guests, and for larger parties boxes can be combined to accommodate a total of 120 guests. For VIP guests that prefer to be a bit closer to the action, the main club houses eight "water booths," which feature patent leather banquettes filled with water. This area also includes a VIP lounge with seating and a private bar. All VIP guests receive impeccable service that includes their own VIP host. This Las Vegas institution opened its doors in 2001 and continues to offer a one-of-a-kind nightclub experience. Even for the most worldly and jaded clubgoer, a visit to Rain is a jaw-dropping and mind-blowing event. Rain was built for Las Vegas-style fun, and it continues to deliver on a nightly basis.
