Grand Canyon SUV and Aerial Tour

There’s no better way to see the Grand Canyon than by helicopter, and the Grand Canyon SUV and Aerial Tour offers guests a chance to travel to Grand Canyon West Ranch, where they will spend time before getting on a helicopter for the ride of a lifetime. The tour starts from Las Vegas usually between 7:00 and 8:00 am. Guests will be transported via SUV or Custom T-class van to Hoover Dam for a guided tour. There, guests will be able to view Lake Mead and Black Canyon as well. The Hoover Dam is a National Historic Landmark that was built in 1935 to control the flow of the Colorado River, which is 725 feet below the dam. It lies on the border between Nevada and Arizona and it is truly an engineering marvel.Tour guests will also be given a tour through the 900-year old Joshua Tree Forest in the Mojave Desert. The Joshua Tree Forest may not be the type of forest you’re used to seeing. This forest lies in the arid high desert, and this portion of the tour is when the SUV comes in handy. Parts of the forest tour are off road, but gentle enough for everyone to enjoy. Wild mustangs are known to roam in herds in this area, and lucky guests may even spot some of these symbols of the Wild West.Once through the Joshua Tree Forest, the tour will progress to the Grand Canyon West Ranch. A hearty western-style lunch is included in the price of the Grand Canyon SUV and Aerial Tour tickets. Along with enjoying the stick-to-your-ribs fare, guests will be entertained by singing, dancing, and story-telling cowboys. After a delicious lunch, tour guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an old-fashioned horse-drawn wagon ride, and perhaps even go on an optional horseback riding as well. After a fun-filled afternoon at the ranch, it’s time to hop aboard the helicopter for a tour of the Grand Canyon. The 30-minute helicopter ride takes tour guests 18 miles into the Grand Canyon National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The pilot will take the aircraft below the rim of the canyon to offer a unique perspective on the landmark. The Grand Canyon spans 280 miles and soars an average of 7,000 feet above sea level. The views from this vantage point are stunning, and the vivid colors of the canyon are truly breathtaking. After the helicopter ride, it is time to head back to Las Vegas. The vehicles take guests back to their original drop-off spot approximately eight hours after they were picked up.This tour offers a combination of relaxation and adventure that complements the excitement of Las Vegas. To see the Southwest and Grand Canyon in this way is a unique opportunity and a memorable adventure.
