Elvis has left the building…or has he? "Viva ELVIS" translates to "Elvis lives." The seventh and newest Cirque du Soleil show to hit the Las Vegas strip, Viva ELVIS, brings the illustrious life and iconic music of Elvis Presley to Aria Theater at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Viva ELVIS combines live music, dance, costumes, and aerobatics in a stirring and nostalgiac production that pays tribute to the King of Rock and Roll. The creative minds behind Cirque du Soleil work tirelessly to achieve a masterpiece with every show they produce and Viva ELVIS is no exception. Vincent Paterson, writer and creator of Viva ELVIS explains, "The power of Elvis was in his voice. With his originality and complexity of influences, he created a revolution. When Elvis was in Las Vegas, his shows weren’t as big as Viva ELVIS because no shows were this big at that time. What I'm trying to paint, with all humility, is the show he might do today. I would be ecstatic if a new generation became Elvis fans.”

Each and every detail of Viva ELVIS including music, choreography, makeup and hair, and costuming, has been painstakingly created to bring the essence of Elvis to a modern Las Vegas audience--with a Cirque du Soleil twist, of course. Expect to see Elvis on stilts, a Graceland-inspired theater, a cigar-chomping Colonel Tom Parker (Elvis' manager)-inspired character as show narrator, and even some superheroes to reflect Elvis' love of comic books.

The music in Viva ELVIS is performed by live musicians, but the voice of Elvis will be represented through his vocals captured in master recordings and rare home movies. You can expect to hear some of Elvis' most famous tunes, of course those songs receive the Cirque du Soleil treatment as well.
